I know salads aren’t the most interesting topic, but I want to talk about it, so here we are. 🙂 Since I’m growing lettuce in my garden this summer, it’s basically in everything I’m eating. Salads for lunch, lettuce on sandwiches, side salad with eggs, or fish for dinner, etc., etc. I love a store bought creamy caesar dressing, or even a ginger Asian-style dressing. But since I’ve been eating all of these salads lately, I realized I have SO many different types of oils and vinegars just sitting in my pantry and these store bought dressings have so many additives, why not just make my own? And listen, this isn’t ground breaking information, but I’ve become a little *obsessed* with making my dressings and trying different combinations. Every time they come out a little different, and every time they come out absolutely delicious. So I’m spreading the word: Make your own dressing, it’s EASY.
All you need is an oil and a vinegar or citrus. I’ve become obsessed with a specific combination and I’m sharing the recipe with you below. Course dijon mustard, tahini for a creamy and nutty taste, sweet vinegar, and olive oil. If you don’t have sweet vinegar just use apple cider vinegar and add some honey. Also add in fresh herbs. Whatever you have, basil, mint, chives, it makes the dressing 100% better.
