Fall in the northeast is one of my favorite times of year. The crisp air, beautiful foliage, and an abundance of fresh local apples. I recently went to upstate New York to an orchard where there was an amazing food stand and I found myself wanting to buy everything. Pumpkin pies, apple cider donuts, local brussels sprouts, etc. Except, when I reached for the local homemade granola, [that looked amazing], I saw the price tag — $15 for a small bag of granola… And then I looked at the ingredients, and thought to myself, “I can absolutely make this on my own!” And so I did. Check out my recipe below, it is so simple! And you can definitely alter the amount of sugar/maple syrup, (or use honey instead), depending on how sweet you like your granola. And get creative, you can use all different kinds of nuts, and dried fruit as well. Try it out, and let me know what you think!
