This summer is different from past ones due to the extraordinary circumstances we are living through. But that doesn’t mean we have to abandon our plans altogether. With the borders between worklife and homelife blurred, It’s important more than ever to summer safely and responsibly. I am a big fan of road trips because you’re surrounded by loved ones in a safe environment.
What does that look like for you? Driving away from the city to reconnect with nature? Heading to the beach? Camping (or glamping!) in your state? (Be sure to check your state travel guidelines.) Personally, vacations mean disrupting my typical schedule to get a few moments of fresh air. Growing up in Martha’s Vineyard has taught me the importance of renewing body and mind in the sun and by the ocean.
Check out what’s going in my bag this year as I plan quick weekend getaways or longer road trips. These are some critical things I now can’t leave without, including wet wipes, coral reef-friendly sunscreen, and ultralight totes. I’m also packing a bag of No-Bake Protein Energy Balls and some matcha tea for my Iced Oatmilk Matcha Lattes. Check out my playlists, audiobooks, select podcasts for some inspiration!
