October brings so many nostalgic memories of watching the leaves change colors, hopping into an autumn wardrobe, and cozying up at home with family and pets. I love it! October is also my birth month, so I’m (a tad) bias!
With these weather changes come an important shift: skin care transitions. As you guys know, I’m a big summer fan: from active paddle boarding activities to lazy beach days and road trips, I’m here for it all. Yes, I love feeling the warm sun on my skin and feeling the ocean mist in my hair. But staying protected from the elements is paramount. You can have the same experience with a little SPF protection!
Fall hikes, apple picking, and visits to local farms now dominate my off days. Layering on sunscreen and a facial moisturizer are musts for any day. At night, I like using a gentle cleanser and micellar water to get rid of grit and other impurities. Whereas some of my summer skin care products can be a little more intense, most of the products I use in the fall are gentler. I find this works for me because of the colder, drier autumn air. Having a skin care routine with moisturizer+SPF, toner, and cleanser keeps my skin happy and adjusted to the weather.
